THE PROMISE LAND MINISTRIES

Believing that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the Savior of the world, we desire to establish a multi-purpose Christian church community to be known as The Promise Land, of Galivants Ferry, South Carolina.  It is our intention to have a ministry that will teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ through sermon, songs, radio, television, revivals, house to house visitation and by providing a Christian community that will help care for the needs of those unable to care for themselves.  It is intended to be a free and independent organization using only the New Testament of the Holy Scriptures as a guide to our faith and practice.  We are not part of any denomination, of any religious organization or association, or any group outside of this organization that can make any claims upon or direct the activities of this religious organization that has previously existed in this city.  The affairs of this religious body and the disposition of its property will always rest solely with the board of directors.  This corporation shall issue to the benefit of or be distributed to its members, directors, officers or other private persons except that this corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensations for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purposes set forth in this article.

This corporation shall not carry on any activities not permitted by a corporation exempt from Federal Income tax under section 501 ( c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue code of 1954 or the corresponding provisions of any further United States Internal Revenue Service law.  On the dissolution of this corporation, the board of directors shall dispose of all of the assets of this corporation, exclusively for charitable, educational or religious purposes and that shall at the time qualify for tax exempt organization under Section 501 ( c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue code of 1954 or the corresponding provision of any future Internal Revenue law after paying or making provisions for the payment of all liabilities of this corporation.
